Message from the President

It is a matter of pride that one is an alumnus of Madras Institute of Technology (MIT). The prestigious institution MIT itself was born out of the vision of a successful entrepreneur Late Mr. C. Rajam Iyer. So, there is no wonder that MIT has produced so many successful entrepreneurs over the years. It is also our honour that we are following the legacy of Late Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, a Social Entrepreneur in a true sense.

It was the vision of Dr. K. Elamvazhuthi, who initiated the founding of this organisation in 2019. Since then the momentum picked up and today we are a solid organisation. At this juncture, I would like to recall the selfless services rendered by our first President Late Mr. V. Nagendran senior in shaping the forum.

During the past 3 years, we have developed a good network of our Alumni Entrepreneurs spread over the globe. Inspite of Covid 19 situation preventing us from having physical meetings, we managed to have sizeable number of physical meets including the recent Marathon Business Meet with large number of our entrepreneurs presenting their business opportunities and potential. We also had a series of webinars presented by our entrepreneurs during the last 3 years. The net result of these cumulative efforts is Networking, Investments and Business Exchanges among our member entrepreneurs. My confidence level has gone up with the increase of membership from the recently passed out batches from MIT. This adds responsibility to us to induce the culture of entrepreneurship among the existing students of MIT so that they become successful entrepreneurs as soon as they come out of the campus.
